DescriptionSomber, thoughtful and preoccupied. One look at Aria and it's easy to tell she is all of these things. Her focus is seen on her brow and in her eyes. It's as if she sees more than what's in front of her in when alone. This changes when she interacts with others one on one. Often time her gaze must wander down upon others for logistical reasons.Compared to most female Midlanders, Aria is tall and unimposing. With modest portions and a fit frame, the Hingan woman often times does not dress purposely to display her "assets." Most can only see one-fourth of her golden brown skin tone. Her even complexion still appears youthful with help from her yellow undertones. She may seem darker or lighter depending on lighting, just as her hair seems to shift in color.Aria prefers short hair styles for her hair. Like her eyes and hair, she leans towards purple clothing, along with browns and blues. Depending on her mood, she may sprinkle in more monochrome colors here and there. It's not unusual to see her with a smudge of dirt on her face or clothes, or evidence that there was once a spot present. PersonalityMany would consider Aria extremely kind and caring. While keeping the peace, collaborating and helping others are things she often does, the reason behind it is often obscure or unseen.There is more that goes on inside of Aria's mind and heart than she could ever speak of. It's difficult for her to convey thoughts concisely. For this reason she often is quiet and reserved when around many new faces. To be fair, this is the same even when alone or with few people. Those who know her well or who she is tasked to work with are likely to see more aspects of her. She does not stand out to those not looking for her.Meticulous in maintenance, Aria likes things to be a certain way. If she can control something, she will. Be it herself, tasks, organizing, and creating schedules, they are default ways to spend energy. Preparing for ways to prevent possible catastrophes among those plans is nearly always on her mind. There's nothing wrong with contingent plans, but she struggles with spontaneity.Her voice has a matter of fact tone. Both musical and polite, it's rare her tone betrays her true feelings. About Aria
PastBorn in Hingashi to Saku Terazawa and Sanetomo Maeko, Aria was granted free reign of her time growing up. Her parents were protective from a distance, yet also not compelled to keep her close when she got the notion to mix and mingle with others. As they spoiled her, she didn't care for the reason as long as she got to keep her freedom. A bit too much freedom.At first, Aria was lightly picked on by others her age. A child of Doman immigrants, some of the others tried to do so, but she learned to bully better. Greedy and selfish, Aria found fun in making others the source of her amusement. That all changed when she became the target of more focused bullying. By the time she was 13, she realized there were other ways to get what she wanted. Through all her schemes to get back at others using her ‘special method,’ Aria had dreams.Throughout her whole life she spent many times looking up to the stars above standing firmly on the ground below, feeling something. At 16 she started looking for something to tangible that mirrored the feeling while being honed as a skilled merchant. The closest that she came to of this was fortune tellers. They used interesting cards, which sparked intrigue of aspects she'd never heard of before.Her search lead her west into Eorzea. Barely knowing the common language, Aria struggled in falling back on her old childhood habits and the tricks she learned as a teen. While learning of merchants is Ishgard, she found out about those who made predictions of Dragon attacks from the stars. From there, she was set on a path to learn more. Instead, she ended up meeting with another whom would help shape her life and become the person she is today. A recent change has made her look back on her past. Channeling all she’s learned, she walks old paths with new eyes hoping to make a change.

Most people know of Aria through contract work. Though she is a merchant and able to make sales, she mostly helps merchants by planning the best route for their wares, and protecting their good while traveling location to location. Luck is with her, some say. Given how she reads cards and stars, she also has been known for divination. She has given a number of fortunes to people and has helped countless merchants and travelers stay safe. So many she does not always recall everyone she has met previously.

Psyche: LEVFSalutations! Thank you for taking the time to visit Aria's carrd. If you managed to read through everything, even more appreciation. As you can see, I Wrote a SHYT-ton. Please Forgib. I got excited about RP with Aria again. I have too many dang Alts, but it's mostly because I over-think about which RP might work well with my friends, rather than who/what I want to RP. I am getting better at this. While I have a main Content Character (Henri Lyon), Aria Maeko is my main RP character. I've made the most connections as her, and she's near and dear to my heart.Writing Aspects
- Paragraph Writer: Sometimes I write short posts. Most times, it's a paragraph. All depends on the situation and speed of the RP.
- Adventure Friendly: My Ideal RP would be travel RP. Moving from one place to another the good old fashion way.
- Slice of Life RP: I'm WAY okay with RPing the trials of life we all face: figuring what to eat, what to wear, how to interact, or any 'getting to know you' sessions. It gives us all a chance to learn more of each others characters, but also for us to learn our own character. Character growth through 'minor'/'brief' interactions FTW!!
- Philosophical & Character Exploration: I'm an internal writer, so I like processing a lot of what's going on inside my character, and a lot of non-verbal ques from others. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's more important if we all write in a way that makes us happy. I love providing conversation or a sounding board to help us all explore our characters beliefs. I get that it can't always happen overnight, nor in one RP. Never say never, however.
- Pre-Established Relationships: These are welcome! I love the notion of it. It makes me happy, especially cause I can't always RP as much as I'd like to. That said, I'm up for a a brief discussion of it about possibly knowing each other from a previous encounter.
- Pet Peeve: Not letting everyone who wants to post have Time to post. I'm a slow poster, and I understand that people can go with the flow, but I also just like to make sure we're all RPing together rather than just At each other, time and location permitted.
- Bees Knees: Music!!! I Looooove music. Any time music is linked to set a mood, or character disposition, I am ALL for it! DJBlue always has amazing tunes, same with The A'ley Catte. OOCly, I vibe with the Tribe as much as I can. ICly, it's mostly Henri who might pop in and out occasionally of a place or two. Not so much Aria.Negative Aspects:- Typos occur time to time: This happens a lot when I'm typing OOCly. Sometimes, I get excited and type faster than I realize, which often can lead to me looking dumb AF. Please be mindful, it's not intended. I'm only human. For IC posts, I will do the best I can to spell check before posting. I might forget that step if I feel pressure to keep up with fast paced RP. Such pressure comes from myself most of the time. I aim to improve my typing, so hopefully this wont be an issue at all in a million years!- Slow poster alert: On average, it takes me a good 10 minutes to get a post out, depending on what's going on and my own comfort level. If it takes longer, it's usually from anxiety and self-doubt. On my best days, I can get posts out in 3 - 6 minutes. Please have patience with me!- Present/Past Tense may be present: Sometimes I get them mixed up, though usually this is on purpose. I do it to display what's going on when the other person posted ( the past tense), and then what occurs after their actions and in my own 'turn' afterwards (present tense). Still, I understand it can be confusing.Positive Aspects:- Newbie Friendly. It's okay if you're new to RP, returning to it, or another awesome person doubting their own writing skills, I'm patient. Excited AF about all the possibilities the RP's impact will have on our characters way, way, way down the line, yes, but I am patient with posting.- No plan? No problem! For me, there's no need to have an entire RP session mapped out before we begin. Coming up with a place to meet is the hardest part for me. Nearly everything else, I can think of on the spot! I'm not against coming up with a general plan, or end goal of an RP wither.- Your character & story are valued: In most cases, we all put a lot of thought into our characters. Sometimes it's just a quick toon for fun, yeah, but a lot of times, there's more to ones backstory. I'd like to learn that of people, gradually or however RP might bring it about. Even if your character doesn't have an in depth background, that's okay, too. Them and their narrative still has an impact on my character.- Willing to Communicate: I like honesty above all else. Even if it means my own feelings get hurt, I'd rather people be open and straight forward. This might be difficult for some, and that's okay also.... As long as you're willing to communicate it will be very helpful.Country: USA
